today I tried my hand at making tortellini....n yes it was indeed least I loved it, and lots of my friends loved it of them being Italian, so I conclude that it was a successful experiment :)

  1. 1 packet cheese tortellini (19 ounces)
  2. 3 tablespoon Parmesan cheese (or any cheese u have)
  3. 1 large onion
  4. 1 tomato
  5. 3 to 4 mushrooms
  6. some olives with pimentos (depending on your taste for olives, you may increase or decrease the number)
  7. 1 tablespoon olive oil / cooking oil
  8. 1 green chilly
  9. 3 cloves of garlic
  10. salt to taste.
  11. dried herbs and italian seasoning
  1. chop all the veggies and saute onion, chilly, garlic, mushroom in oil till onions are golden brown.
  2. add salt and herbs and seasoning powder to the veggies, let the herbs blend with the veggies for 1 min add chopped tomatoes and olives, saute for 1 to 2 min...
  3. simultaneously, boil the tortellini as per instructions on the packet.....I just boiled one packet (19 ounces) in 3 quartz (12 cups) water as per the cooking instructions for 4 min then drained it and sprinkled some oil on it so they didn't stick to each other.
  4. Once the veggies are cooked nicely, toss the tortellinis with the veggies and mix it well.
  5. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese and mix it....sprinkle some more on the top...
  6. serve hot... :)
this is a very nice dish....cooks quickly and tasty...and I made it little different (i didnt add any sauce to it )coz i didnt want the same taste as the pasta and ravioli....u can add marinara sauce or white sauce or pesto sauce with the veggies for a totally different taste and feel.....

Love Story

i love this book...and the movie...
what more can i say about this beautiful book, that has not been said already...
for those who have not read it, all i can say is, read this book and you ll be happy that you did....

this is a story about a boy and a girl, oliver and jenny...who come from diverse backgrounds, and who fall in love, get married against all odds and strive to make a life together......sounds very routine and run of the mill story right.....well this is where the book gets to you as there is nothing run of the mill about it....

it is a simple story told in a simple way...yet it tugs at ur heart, and makes u laugh and cry at the same time....when u read the book, u wish u had conversations like oliver and jenny with your better half....again some being very witty and some full of understanding......the beauty of the book is, neither of them are ideal people, they are very normal people like u and me.....they have fights with each other just like everyone...and then how they deal with it is inspiring without being idealistic......

and its such a small book...even non readers can venture into this book and get done with it before they realize.

movie is just as good as the book i must say....though the end in the book is better than the is just as u imagined when u read the book...maybe because erich segal wrote the book when he was working on the screenplay of the movie.......

I love both this book and movie and wud urge one and all to read it/ see it....

life has come to a full circle now..
with lots of ups n downs and twists and turns
life has brought me where I always wanted to be.....

this is just a milestone achieved.....
i know but its a milestone nevertheless...
one which was never in sight.....

it was just a matter of a twist
and lo behold, what a sight to see
all the pain forgotten and legs stop hurting
coz this is where i always wanted to be...

as i take in the beauty and catch my breath..
speechless i wonder, whats further next
smiles and laughter i hear all around
and i know this is how its always gonna be...

i pack my bag and start again
energized to reach the next milestone...
who knows where the next turn lies
and its just a matter of time
till life gives me a new surprise

enthused i start the climb
coz i know now there is someone behind
to catch me if i fall, to hold me if i slip
this journey is ours now..
and this is how it was meant to be..

well well well....didnt know i had this within me!!!!!!!!!! i was just gonna write a nice n sweet valentine day post and look what i got instead!!!! anyways guess i ll write one more post in a short time........guess have lots buried within me....
