drumsticks...

today at anu's place we made drumsticks the way we make at home...for the first time on my own......of course took mom's help in brushing up the procedure over the phone...also mithu n anu were there to help me.....

ingredients :
  • 2 or 3 drumsticks (peeled n chopped)
  • 3 -4 tablespoons of roasted besan (chana flour)
  • dry masala ....chilly powder ,turmeric powder (haldi),coriander seed & cumin powder (dhana jeeru) asofoetida (hing)
  • 3-4 tablespoons yogurt
  • 2 -3 tablespoon cooking oil
  • salt to taste

Method:

take oil in pan....cook drumsticks in the oil...add salt to drumsticks as much required...add little water to help drumsticks to get cooked...once they r cooked add dry masala and chilly ginger paste to it..





side by side roast chana flour on a tava (pan)....constantly stir the flour else it sticks to pan n burns....also add dry masala to the flour n roast it.....once the flour is roasted to dark yellow turn off the flame....n put the flour in another plate immediately...dont keep it in hot vessel even after the flame is off coz the flour can get burnt even in the heat of the vessel.



also keep roasted groundnuts crushed...once drumsticks r cooked well add groundnut powder to it....let it mix well with drumsticks...add some water....

once groundnut n drumsticks r mixed well...add roasted chana flour to it......mix it well...add salt as per required for groundnuts n flour...after 1 to 2 min add yogurt.....n let drumsticks n groundnut n chana flour blend well together...let it simmer for a while....n ur delicious drumstick vegetable is ready to eat with chapati , roti,paratha etc etc
